When it comes to Retail Designs, energy consumption is a major factor which becomes a concern for Business Operators. Commercial mechanical systems are required to conform to much more stringent rules and regulations laid out in the Ontario Building Code and also by the local municipality’s by-laws when compared to typical residential requirements. As such commercial mechanical systems need to be designed much more intensively to ensure that not only is the conditioned area heated and cooled for occupant comfort but to also verify that the system complies with the required fire ratings and fire separations in regards to the Ontario Building Code.
